CHILDREN’S LESSON ACTIVITY. I CAN “BEE” A FRIEND friendship necklace. With these hearts on a string, children can view the pictures to say the message “I can be a friend.” They can say “hi” and wave, or say “please,” or “thank you.” They can invite a friend to play, to go to Primary, to a birthday party, or to create a craft. Jesus taught the “bee”-attitudes telling ways to “bee” happy. He is our friend and showed us how to “bee” a friend.

I Can “Bee” a Friend friendship necklace
OBJECTIVE: Help children desire to be a good friend.
CRAFT ACTIVITY:
1. Give each child a set of hearts to create a friendship necklace. Punch holes, tie yarn or ribbon through hearts, and tie at the end.
2. The necklace shows children the rebus symbols I CAN BEE A FRIEND to help them memorize the statement.

SINGING TIME.
• Sing “Jesus Said Love Everyone” and “Fun to Do” (Children’s Songbook, 61, 253). Children can use the action cards to show how to be a friend.
DOWNLOAD “Jesus Said Love Everyone” song visuals (HERE or below).
• Sing “Do As I’m Doing” (Children’s Songbook, 276) and replace the words: “Do as I’m doing” with “Be a good friend,” and have children do actions like smiling, saying hi, waving, and helping. Children can play follow the leader.
