ACTIVITY: Origami Tithing Purse/Wallet
Fold a tithing purse/wallet to hold tithing donations until youth has the opportunity to pay. This purse/wallet can be placed in their scriptures for safekeeping. Then when they take their scriptures to Church on Sunday they can fill out the tithing slip and slip it into the envelope giving it only to a member of the bishopric. By placing this envelope in their scriptures it will remind them that they are blessed both spiritually and materially when they pay their tithing.
TO MAKE: Print or copy and color the tithing envelope for each youth on lightweight paper.
THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): 1/10th Cupcake. Bake a cupcake for each youth and one for the bishop. Give each child 10 M&M or small pieces of candy. Each child places one candy on the bishop’s cupcake and nine on their cupcake. Deliver cupcake with donations to the bishop.
