Little LESSON LIFESAVER Activity:
I Can Share and Care
Good Samaritan Show-and-Tell
OBJECTIVE: Encourage children to express love for others through kind words and deeds.
CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Can Share and Care – Good Samaritan Show-and-Tell
1. Print or copy activity. Attach the movable arm to the picture with a paper fastener. Glue the story on the back of the picture.
2. Help children use the scene to tell the story that Jesus told (Luke 10:30–37). Move the hand holding the cup up and down to give the man a drink. Tell children that Heavenly Father wants us to love others.
THOUGHT TREAT: Water and Samaritan snacks. Share with children bread and fruit. Tell them this is like the food the Good Samaritan shared with the person in need. He showed his love for others. Talk about what children can do to be Good Samaritans (e.g., share their toys and food, smile, and be nice).
SING “Jesus Said Love Everyone” (Children’s Songbook, 61).
